Brazil - CEPLAC/CORAM, Belem Datafile: DIS_WBDS - Disease reaction to Witches' Broom Materials and Methods Each clone was represented by one plot of ten plants of approximately 12 years of age, spaced at 3 x 3m apart. The clonal garden had a high incidence of witches broom disease which had not been controlled for four consecutive years. The number of infected vegetative shoots and flower cushions was recorded. The following categories were used: 0, >0=10, >10=20, >20=50, >50=100, >100. The 30 most promising clones out of the 180 tested are indicated. Disease - Crinipellis perniciosa (Marasmius perniciosa) (local names: Witches' Broom Disease, Escoba de bruja, Balai de sorciere, Vassoura de bruxa).
