SM 5 [POU]    Theobroma cacao

 Pound, F.J. (1943)
First report on the selection of cacao trees for resistance to Witches' Broom disease. Unpublished report, Ministry of Agriculture, Trinidad.

Derivation: San Miguel.
Collected by Pound.
Location: San Miguel, Ecuador.

Notes:  Pound, 1943b [POU43B] Progeny from selected trees which had shown resistance to Witches' Broom disease.

Bartley, 1993a [BAR93A]. There is a farm of this name on the other side of R. Vinces from Limoncillo, which Pound could have visited. It is also possible that the name refers to the same place that the EET selections from Los Rios were made.
