 Hunter, J.R. (1961)
The status of cacao variety improvement work in the Western Hemisphere. Cacao (Costa Rica) 4: pp. 1-16.

Derivation: Rosario Izapa Mexico.
Collected by del Arco & Spencer.
Location: Tuxclachico, Chiapas, Mexico.

Hunter, 1961a [HUN61A]. Fruit - Long, thin Soconusco type. Seed - white. Bartley, 1997a [BAR97A]. Most of the genotypes are very similar with regard to their vegetative and floral characteristics. The fruit shapes also show very little variation as do most other fruit characteristics. Most of these genotypes have fruit with a light green colour and the others have some degree of anthocyanin pigmentation.

Notes:  Hunter, 1961 [HUN61A] Selections from Hda La Rioja. Selections from the Pacific coast with some MATINA genes.

In the original format of the name was composed of a number with "R" or "RIM" as suffix to that.
